Irena Szewińska Foundation was founded by the closest family of the patron, by her husband and sons. The aim of this initiative is to support and develop Polish sport, so that the work of our great athlete can be continued. Irena Szewińska never rested on her laurels, she practiced sport continuously from primary school until the end of her career. After the end of her career, she was still actively involved in supporting Polish and world sport, being a member of many organizations, including the Polish Olympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee. The Foundation is a continuation of what Irena Szewińska did and to which she devoted her whole life.
